My path through higher education has crossed countries, disciplines, and institutions. I began my academic career in France, earned my PhD from Université Paris Cité, and later built my career in U.S. higher education and admissions.
Working inside admissions gave me a perspective that is difficult to acquire from the outside: I saw firsthand the gap between how applicants perceive their candidacy and how an admissions committee actually evaluates it.
I founded The Admission Concierge to bridge that gap and create the kind of admissions consulting practice I believed applicants deserved—strategic, candid, highly individualized, and built around direct access to an experienced admissions professional.

Large admissions consulting firms often divide the process among multiple consultants, editors, or specialists. My approach is intentionally different. When you hire The Admission Concierge, you work directly with me—a former Director of Admissions—from initial strategy through final submission.
I don't start with your essays. I start with your candidacy.
Before we decide what you should write, we step back and look at your application the way an admissions committee will. I evaluate your academic record, professional trajectory, leadership, goals, experiences, strengths, and potential concerns to determine what your application needs to communicate.
From there, we build a clear positioning strategy that guides every part of the application from school selection and resume development to essays, recommendations, interviews, and final review.
There is no universal formula for getting into a highly selective program. What strengthens one applicant's candidacy may do very little for another.
That's why I don't rely on predetermined narratives or hand your application to a junior consultant once the initial strategy is complete. I work with you one-on-one throughout the process, adapting the strategy as your application develops.
Good writing matters, but admissions committees aren't evaluating essays in isolation. They're evaluating you.
My experience inside admissions allows me to look beyond whether an essay is well written and ask the more important questions: Does this make your candidacy stronger? Is it credible? Does it differentiate you? Does it address potential concerns? And does it give the admissions committee a compelling reason to choose you?
That's the difference between simply polishing an application and building an admissions strategy.
